What did you do in the garden today?

There is a spineless variety (Burbank), but it still has glochids.

Salt is not too hard to wash out. They got a ton of rain too after the surge. It sounds like the wind did more damage overall, a lot of people used tractors and ratchet straps to upright trees that fell over. The trees that didn't just snap, of course.
Hi thought so but it has been a while. Thanks!

I hooked up a tesla coil about 5 or 6 years ago in the front yard, by the door, since then, nobody sends their kids here for halloween. Wonder why ??? :)

Wuz a lil lightning between friends??

Only had about 20 kids yesterday, oh well, more candy for us! I've got the last batch of fresh tomato sauce going on the stove and a big container of green and not completely green tomatoes that'll be made into jam tomorrow. I also pick all the rest of the peppers, I think I'll can them in half pints for cooking over the winter. I actually had a bigger crop than I'd expected, these are just my final picking.

I'm tempted to can the serranoes in 1/2 cup jars, I love them in refried beans.

Here's the tomatoes:

Here's the marmalade that suddenly hit 220:

Your peppers are so pretty! I usually cut mine up and freeze in ziplocks. That way I can shake out as much as I need for a recipe. The hot ones are really easy to work with this way. Small ones I just throw in whole. Of course I don’t have any shelf stable peppers canned either.
