What did you do in the garden today?

Another glorious, sunny, 8 degree morning. It was 40 when I went to bed at midnight. At 1230 the mprth winds started to howl tp 50 mph and well, we all know how that ends up.

Back to 40s though as of tomorrow and the rest of the week.

I need to open up the barn and clean and scoop and get coats of these furry animals.

Put a slice of cheese on that sammich with some ranch, it's heaven.
Throw in a little bit of bacon and lettuce YUM!

You can fry them too

I ate BLT before, but I never ate a plain tomato sandwich.

I grew up with tomato sandwiches Nothing but thick slabs of tomato, a little mayo, salt and pepper....yum. My hubby won't try them... he prefers onion sandwiches made with nothing but a thick slab of onion and a little mustard

That does sound like heaven

Lol, I love tomatoe sandwiches but I'm not sure I could do an onion sandwich.
I just introduced my husband to the cucumber sandwich last night, lol! He called it a posh snack because I said you normally cut the crust off and make them into bite sized squares for finger foods.

I did a search for shredded chicken sandwich on Youtube and I am going to try the Ohio style chicken sandwich. All the variations use canned cream of chicken soup and add either potato chips, bread crumbs, crackers or stuffing mix. I am going to try the potato chips one.

I have a freezer full of home grown chicken and the only sandwich I made with them is with mayonnaise and lettuce.

The onion sandwich, not the normal harsh ones but you get a nice sweet vidalia onion, now were talking ! Or better that onion and a slice of tomater on it !

Going to get cold as hell again tonight but at least the sun came up and warmed us a bit for a while. The bees are all buzzing around which gives me a great sign of relief, not seeing them for a few days had me worried. I see a few dead they carried out but thankfully the hives seem pretty healthy. I don't want to go opening them up and pullin gthem apart to look because I don't want to lose any of the heat they got but yah, bees ain't lovin it.

THey have those at the church down the road from sister's house on every election day (ohio) and we had them two nights ago for supper. LOL
Shocking how common they are. They're usually called church supper or Lutheran Chicken sandwhiches. Common in the great hall for events.
