What did you do in the garden today?

Yes, and last year I used that same one. This year I have a different one. This is the third year using inoculation in the plants.

We also used inoculant for the compost when we started. The first one we tried *might* have helped, but the next year when it was still sluggish to decompose I found a different one and it was clearly beneficial as the compost began to turn to dirt at a much quicker pace.
I'm new to using innoculant this year. The label on the Myco Bliss I'm using says it can treat up to 100 plants per pound of innoculant. It seems like that would be a heck of a lot of powder used for one plant. I just use a pinch. Maybe the Myco Bliss has a low concentration of the fungi, requiring a heavy application to work effectively.

What brand did you switch to @Acre4Me ? Mine says it contains 1000 propogules per gram, whatever that means. Does your list propogules per gram?

Yes. I’ll take pic when home.

82 and dripping wet with humidity, severe weather later, you can feel it
All 40 trees are now on a 2 foot deep to roots drip line, and all the leaks from last year are plugged. New trees in the far hayfield have been watered by hand, as is tradition- and the cottonwood tree has been trimmed, the trimming delivered to the noodlenecks-who are relaxing in front of their fans.

HOT HOT HOT.....
That's it...except for closing the greenhouse before dark and storms, I'm done outside for the day.

Dandelion Garden😆 but actually they’re awesome. I let them grow because the geese love the leaves so much I always pick a few and bring them out to feed the geese a treat ! this year I’ve been digging some of them up and making tinctures and teas from the roots and the leaves and even the flowers I also started a dandelion balm with some of the flowers and I picked a lot of leaves. today for a salad . I’m supposed to be putting in tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, beans, lettuce, kale, and other things but so far I’m still dealing with dandelions lol however, I have two other gardens one is a potato garden, which is doing well and a Jerusalem artichoke garden which I weeded today yay

Catching up here while sitting in the truck at Home Depot. I just had to get out of the house but am in too much pain to walk around.

So DH has dug out all around the house, like 8 inches down. Front sills are rotted, hence the trip to HD. A big mess. Anyway, I had him save a couple flowers from the dug beds & had him plant them in front of the chicken run. He has no clue how to dig a root ball to save a hydrangea. 🙄 I look out & my beautiful hydrangea is hanging from a fork on the tractor he ripped it out with, now hes shaking the dirt off the roots. I'm sure they'll all die. Whatever.

I planted the rest of the wildflower seeds in the rest of the garden beds. I saw 1 sungold volunteer. :yesss: Watered everything including new transplants. My lettuce looks like it might grow. Taking its time tho!

My BFF is a respiratory therapist in a local hospital, we were talking about my back not being fixed after surgery & she laid the 'well that's why they say "practice" medicine' on me. It's so true it made me laugh (while crying, lol).

Ok, off to finish catching up.
I’m so sorry about your hydrangeas and your back! I can’t imagine the disappointment you must feel. Isn’t there a second surgery? Maybe that will help?
