What did you do in the garden today?

Brrr the cold begins. Quite a shock after some lows in the 60s. 38 here and 21 predicted Monday morning. Gardening is done for this year. Lots of leaves on the ground and the freeze will knock a lot more down.
Stay cozy Jerry! If you want more gardening to do I have plenty

I agree! I have a very good friend from SC & I absolutely love to hear her speak. Her accent sounds beautiful to me - though it annoys her that I say she has an accent. :lau & the differences in words in our own county are fascinating to me. Like we have grinders here (subs, hoagies) & we call liquor stores 'the packy' or package stores. I love that stuff! I remember trying to order a Boston Creme donut in CA, lol. Nope, no such thing. LOL
what?! I think you were in the wrong donut shop. No Boston Crème donuts, psh

I didn’t understand what you meant!!! Why would you “park” a hinny on a metal football stand seat?! And what is a “metal football stand seat”?
Sorry, I forgot you were on here and not used to the local colloquialisms.

I use tuchus too, but locally that gets odd and confused looks. Our giant american university football (US Football) and other sporting events have mass seating, usually made of metal. When it is very cold out, it's not a pleasant place to plant your backside for hours to watch a sporting event.

Cold metal seating for 90,000 people. (OR boiling hot, depending on the season)

Good morning all. It was actually chilly this morning, almost needed a short sleeved shirt instead of a tank top earlier. Yesterday I got more weed barrier down in the shade garden and we’re going to have to revamp the trellises for the dragon fruit. I’m really undecided on that subject at the moment, but I don’t care for the trellises I bought (I told Igor that but he’s determined NOT to do what I think is best) and think we should just do the tried and true. So we’re at an impasse. I think I have enough pavers to go all the way around the walkway in there, but not enough to pave just inside the door so will need some more for that. Today I’m just finishing up little things and thinking on all that; have to go grocery shopping :sick Have a good day!

It's a balmy 55 degrees right now but pouring buckets outside. Going to drop into the upper 30s overnight and reach between 30 - 32 degrees with the windchill.

I'm trying to decide if I want to go pick the green tomatoes or just let them go. No idea if they are far enough along to bother with them...

DH forgot to cover the wood pile before the rain started so no toasty fire to help chase out the chill. 🙄

I planted some long bean seeds from an old seed packet a week ago and most of them sprouted. I spaced the seeds about 3 inches apart around my grow bag and put some in the middle.

I am planning to let them all grow with the idea that each plant will produce a pod with two long beans, and I will get a bunch of beans at a time for a shorter duration. I may be able to pull it off with liquid Alaskan fish fertilizer and bloom, every three days.

I asked my copilot A1 bot a question about seven insect spray, and it said insects will die from consuming it and by contact. It should be applied 8 times a year, I think this means it leaves a residual that kills insect that bite the plant. This would make it more effective than soap.

I have been spraying my young tomato plants with soapy water almost everyday and its starting to bother them. I keep seeing that insect that bites a ring around the tip part, so I decided to try seven.

I sprayed seven the other day and went to check on my tomato plant this morning and didn't see any moving cutters just dead ones. I'll know if it's working by consumption if I don't see any tomorrow.
