I think no on food coloring. Canneries use Dickinson pumpkin in the same group as Butternut squash. A rich orange colored flesh.When I made my pumpkin pie from my ripe pumpkins it came out a warm brownish orange color. It was wonderful.
It did make me wonder if the canned pumpkin has food coloring in it, does anyone know?


No snow in the forecast here though.
