What did you do in the garden today?

I have had a Excalibur for years and love it. A bit pricey. I will look up my marinade recipe for you later today.
LOVE LOVE LOVE my Excalibur. Yup, pricey. I've had mine for over 25 years. I finally had to replace one of the knobs on the top. The slot/groove/key in it that fits over the stub and turned the timer finally wore out. Easy to replace.

I visited my green house. I have several kale seeds sprouting, and one spinach. It was 53 in there, while it was in the upper 30s outside.

That is due to the intermittent sunshine we got today. :clap
I saw some tender looking green kale at my local supermarket, it did not look like the green reddish hard ones I grew. I will search for the seeds. It was fluffy looking and soft to the touch.

In my quest to find a green fluffy soft kale, I narrowed my search down to the All-American selection winner Prism Kale. I took advantage of amazon's free shipping with Prime for 30 days and will cancel it before the free 30 days expires. I wonder if there is a catch to this, hmm. I used to have prime but canceled it since I don't watch any of the prime free movies.

Nice day today for mid-winter... Found a really nice volunteer lettuce plant hiding behind a planter. Harvested a big leaf from it for the buns this morning.

Cleaned all the coops and the goat house... Raked leaves into the duck pen and bachelor pen. Normally we use the lawn sweep but DH didn't feel like getting it hooked up so I had to rake manually. Still more leaves are needed and I've got tons more that need picked up. Hopefully I can convince DH to do it tomorrow.

I need to get the gardening shed arranged so I can work in there... We still haven't found an electrician to wire it into my main box. Why does no one want to seem to work anymore?

2023 has been a bugger.... 🥂🎉 Here's to hoping that next year is better!
