What did you do in the garden today?

Have you tried this type of cooked and raw eggs in this video? I make this when I have a lot of eggs, they go fast.
That was interesting. I've been pickling eggs in pickle water and they taste good. I like the idea of marinating eggs in soy sauce.

All the GreenStalks are finally filled with my own mix & stacked! 3 are planted, 3 need warmer. Phew, that was a lot of work for someone with a 5lb weight limit, lol. The garden needs some work before I can move them out there. LOVE the red.

I have Phoebe bird looking to make a nest. Walked in the sto

re grocery shopping and knees are a bit sore.
Never heard of Phoebe, but it looks like some I might have around
.. I was thinking some kind of sparrows 😂

Hopefully your knees are better in the morning

I literally fed and sat out my sourdough starter last night. 😂

I bet your new starter is going to be amazing with the influence of the kombucha culture nearby!
I have mesophilic yogurt, the kombucha, a ginger bug and a sourdough starter all going right now. I was surprised by how much influence the kombucha had, the sourdough smells sour even after discard and feeding.

What mix do you use in those @Sueby ?
Sort of a Mels mix with some add ons, basically:
5 gallons coco coir
5 gallons of my compost
3 gallons perlite
2 gallons vermiculite
1 gallon worm castings
Then a bit of fertilizer, lime, bone meal, & blood meal.
(got the recipe from a GS gardener)
It's a fantastic mix for the GreenStalks here, very happy with it so far. Last year I used the red ProMix & it sucked for me, waaaay too wet, I need to amend that stuff tomorrow with some perlite. Lots of perlite, lol.

I’ve had the same experience with ProMix, not at all impressed. Thanks so much for this recipe! I have only one Greenstalk and it’s still in the other room under a table. I’m seriously procrastinating.
