What did you do in the garden today?

I had to refocus today. Our local trash company doesn't advertise the yearly free dump days. And if course it's this week. So I spent all day cutting up an old hot tub with the saws all. My hands, back, and feet are toast. I'm covered in grit and exhausted. Definitely overdid it today. But the results are well worth it.

I bought some morel mushrooms yesterday and had some fried for lunch. Sadly I am not up to long walks in the woods. I see one mum from seed is sprouted. I was about to give up on those seeds. I hope we are done on frost now.:fl
We are going back up to Indiana next week to see my in-laws and bury my parents. Definitely going morel hunting while we are there! ❤️❤️❤️

The black morels (what I found) come out here first. White ones are a bit later. I'm really hoping I find some white ones in some of the places where I've found them before. I don't have to worry about someone else getting them first, as the spots are on our property. I just have to remember to go look for them!

Trying to take it a little easier today. I noticed the wind blowing the cover on the peach tree around so I removed it. Except cor the buds and blooms that were knocked off by the cover the tree has seemed to do well through last night’s freeze. One more night of frost before warmer temps move in. There are a lot of open blossoms and unopened buds that should provide a good harvest. I watered the sugar snap peas that are emerging along with the asparagus, kale and radishes. Since I ran my errands earlier today I should be able to get back to working on the old chicken coop cleaning and repairs tomorrow. There are enough pea plants up so I can plant the lettuce starts between the rows.
Wow! I think I have like 5-10 flowers left on my tree after having to cover it at just the wrong time. :hit

Watered tonight. Tomorrow so much is going in the ground! :wee

I'm not sure who sent me cushaw pumpkin seeds however I got them today. Thank you for sending them
LOL.
That was me. You asked for them ages ago, and I had to dig them out.
I sprout them in paper towels and a baggie and only plant the viable ones.

My Pleasure.

Something keeps scratching through the straw mulch I have down in the garden. Could be the chickens (who aren't supposed to be in the garden) but I don't think it's just them alone. Whatever it is, it has nearly destroyed my sunflower seedlings that were newly sprouted.
The robins.
