What did you do in the garden today?

I’ve noticed lower germination rates as well. I’m slowly moving to obtaining more heirloom varieties so I can save the seeds. I’m also working on harvesting more chicken compost and plan on experimenting with weed tea fertilizer as well. I finished watering the winter squash and watermelon bed. Then spent another half hour clearing weeds around the grapevines and clearing a path to set up the sprinkler for them. It seems the battery lasts about 30 minutes but I get a lot accomplished during that time. It will likely be Friday before I can install the sprinkler. But I’m making progress. My reward tonight will be air fried chicken wings. Yum!

It’s hard to see all 3 arbor / arches. I need to work on my photography skills. Lol! You can only see one large bunch of oregano but there are two and a few lavender plants.

Has anyone moved a sage plant? I have some in an area that just does not get enough sun. I want to move it to the bee garden. Mine has yet to flower. In fact I didn't even know that it should have lots of lovely purple flowers!
I moved mine (which ended up being 3-4 plants, apparently) this year while it was still dormant, and it is happy.

What I done in the garden today was:

-Transplant my small Butternut Squash plant into the ground. I am growing one in a pot going up a trellis, so I am going to try this one on the ground.
-Transplant 7 Beefsteak Tomato young plants into new pots.
-Transplant Marketmore Cucumber seedlings into a bigger container for them to grow more before going into a permanent pot.
-Plant some pinto beans.

I set out 6 okra plants in the garden today. Maybe they'll grow, maybe not. If they don't I won't be buying more seeds to replace them.

I need to put together a sandy, rocky soil mix for uppotting the three sage seedlings I have. I'm glad they germinated. The rosemary seeds did not germinate. :hit

I watered the garden a little, mainly to make sure that the cornstarch carrot seeds were nice and moist.

Tomato plants are doing great! I need to pound in a couple more t-posts next to the determinate tomato plants. I'll have to start tying them up in a week or two.
