What did you do in the garden today?

Welcome :)
Most doctors here are handcuffed to the hospital. If they join the hospital network they get better fees, but they have to do as they're told, obey the company line. If they're not part of the hospital network they don't get paid as well. They lose income but keep their autonomy.

One thing I didn't know until recently is all the protocols that are enforced by the hospital hierarchy come from CMS mandates, aka Medicare. If the hospital doesn't do as CMS dictates, they lose funding. It's a vicious cycle.

I want to go back in time and be able to pay my doctor with a chicken!
:lau
I always take my doc fresh eggs, whole wheat cookies, and fresh baked loaves of bread. So....

I will use Amazon to find an item, and get a price, then try to find an item locally or through a smaller internet seller from the US. EBay is pretty good, I have had very few issues. I got my new cordless power tools through sellers there.

I get clothing from places like Vermont Country Store, Land's End, LL Bean, and Macy's. I get cotton accessories like socks from Maggie's Organics, and winter wear from Golden Touch Naturals. And I get my work skirts from Woman Within: long skirts with POCKETS!!

I'm not getting anything from sharing those companies, just letting you all know of optional shopping sources.
Thank you for info! I love cotton rich clothes and pockets woo hoo! I work at thrift store and 1st thing I read is size and fabric content.
And if polyester wasn't bad enough the 1st go 'round now they have recycled polyester!!:eek:Puke. Almost all my shoes are are Birkenstocks from (eBay mostly )and socks are cotton or wool only.

Awww I’m sorry! One of mine doesn’t look very good and the other already has blueberries on it LOL
Maybe it's just a thing. I have 4 blueberries, one is amazing, two are happy, but one is just not thriving, hasn't for years, no matter what I do. I'm putting them in the ground this winter though! Very exciting!

I also hate Amazon. Cheap Chinese crap that isn't worth half of what you pay for it. It's extremely difficult to find any high quality products on there anymore and even harder to find Made in America products. I do still order from Amazon occasionally but only when I'm absolutely looking for cheap, disposable temporary stuff.
I find some US made stuff on Amazon, but I have to look really hard... Even then, you have to be careful of the vendor you're buying from on a listing that has more than one seller. Some sellers are using listings by US companies and selling Chinese knockoffs. I always check the seller profile now.

Then there's US manufacturers that have always sold US products... But go on to have China make a cheaper line to sell on Amazon. Had that happen with SK tools recently actually.... My boss was pissed. They're always out of stock on some tools he wanted, looked on Amazon and was skeptical but purchased, didn't even notice that it's their tools but made in China. We kept them... They're satisfactory for this particular purpose, but neither of us would put them in our own tool collections.

I'm so mad... I expected seeds to get delivered today. Apparently they were delivered yesterday... In the metal mail box.... In the 97 degree heat.... Crammed, literally, crammed in the mail box. I ordered large items, specifically so the post couldn't do that. They did. So they sat in the mail box all day yesterday and today. 36 packets of seeds. Honestly, if any of them germinate this fall I'll be amazed. I'm so so so bummed out.
