What did you do in the garden today?

I pulled 5 buckets of weeds. That sounds like a lot. It is; the area was way overgrown. I planted a hopeful half row of beans there.

I dug one potato plant. It was a smallish plant, and got enough taters for a dinner. I also got 3 banana peppers and a zucchini.

I saw one tomato plant that is loaded with green tomatoes; enough on that plant to can one or two quarts. There are lots of other plants that have a lot of 'maters too. I think I'll be canning in a few weeks.

Haven't been in the garden for two days and dang if two tomato plants were half eaten by TWO massive hornworms. Where the heck to they come from so fast?! do aliens drop them from the sky at night??

Sprayed a bunch of neem oil on the brassicas this evening. Didn't see nearly any worms so maybe the BT helped. Caught over a dozen grasshoppers inside the hoop house. Put them in a cricket can until I can gleefully feed them to the chickens in the morning. Serves 'em right.

I tied up some tomatoes and planted more yard long beans and cucumbers. Ik. I must have lost my mind on more cucumbers but I look in my pickle cabinet and my supply is dwindling! I need to make it to next summer!
The snake bean will be over 6 feet b4 it stops growing and ripens!!
Gs helped w the cow peas - getting off vines I pulled. Will not put those on cow panels ever again!
