What did you do in the garden today?

Okay, so here are the pictures of my mystery squash. Anybody have any ideas??
It does sort of look like spaghetti squash. Mine started out pretty white but then quickly started to turn yellow. Mystery squash! I'll be interest to see what it actually is when it's done cooking on the vine.

Haven't even been out in the garden today, kind of raining a bit here & there. Humid. I need to pick some eggplant & beans, that I know. Man going away sure does make for a lot of work when you get back!

That alone makes me so sad. Have had that happen with all my grapes a few times (birds), and Italian plums. Found a pile of seeds on the ground. Darn coons.
I have bird netting. I am thinking about laying it over the raised beds and trellises tonight, depending on skeeters.

That’s ridiculous. I can’t believe they actually came on your property and took the dog. I guess you can’t fix crazy.
PETA got sued for doing that, taking a dog off someone's porch. They euthanized it. The dog's owners won the lawsuit.

I wouldn't leave my dog unattended any more, even in a fenced yard.

I've tried lots of different essential oils and nothing is working this year... Normally I don't personally have too much trouble with mosquitoes. This year they are vicious... The only thing that semi-reliably works is commercial insect repellent which I don't like to use. Who wants to spray known poison on their body? Nuts...
I've been using No-Bite-Me soap. I make a lather in my hands then rub it all over my arms and legs (I wear skirts). It seems to make a difference, and smells good too.

I picked all of the first planting of carrots this morning. The second planting is still growing and I'm going to plant a third crop soon. I think the variety I'm growing this year is Danver's half long.

Most of them grew straight and true. A few have legs and arms and a couple are split.

I have too many wild animals randomly passing by including eagles. Both of my wee beasties are between 15 to 16 pounds. They are never left unattended in my fenced in yard. It’s not worth the risk.

My stove pellets delivery went very well. The nice person that delivered them even volunteered to toss the leftover bags from last winter on top of the new pallets. I put another piece of cardboard down in the big garden, did 2 loads of laundry and added another roost in the littles run. The weather is disgusting. Not all that hot but tropical humidity. I’ve had pretty good luck with OFF! Insect repellent. And I have lots of insect bite medicines.
