What did you do in the garden today?

I just picked 2 green bell peppers, first of the year, some parsley and about 20 small to medium tomatoes. And I couldn't help myself... I picked some beans from the rattlesnake vines that I should've left for seed like I planned. LOL

There are two zucchinis that should be ready to pick in a couple days. I'll be able to make my sweet and spicy relish. Along with zucchini it'll have onions, bell peppers and red Hatch peppers.

I too have 1 green bell pepper ready to pick soon, anxiously watching it grow & checking on it...1st one of the year! Yeah, my pepper plant was a late bloomer.

I see these ornamental peppers at Lowe's, they are multi colored & resemble small Serranos...I might 😋 eat one to see what they taste like.

I don't know if you're supposed to eat ornamental peppers...

I took a break today. I needed it. I harvested tomatoes today and watered.

Mom ramble: We're discussing the idea of producing another tiny human. I've done the pro/con thing. Every time I come up feeling selfish. So... We're going to 'try'. I think I'm going to be sick. Babies are amazing, having to have another cesarian.... and not sleep for months... and still get our small human to school... and not loose my job that I L.O.V.E. I love my job so much.... It gives me exactly what I need to feel fulfilled and happy (outside of my garden). I do enjoy being mom and all that, but I do need my sense of self.

I pruned all those seeds for the broccoli and cauliflower. wowza I really over seeded.

You're not 😂 but it won't kill me...according to Google

I've been on a bit of a pepper kick lately with the August pollen 🤧 working on my sinuses & throat. I remember my parents bought the stuffed cherry peppers when I was a kid. No stores carry them now. I got some at the local Italian sub shop but they were not really good, they made them right there per order so the time of marinating was only for the pepper itself, not the stuffing. I see Amazon has them, might order a jar. Next year I want to grow a few pepper varieties myself, here.

After the disappointing overall germination experience, I plan to start the seeds in Nov or Dec this time. I have shelves & grow lights & of course the spare bathroom tub works great, unless someone needs to soak in the tub.
