Hasn't rained here since the middle of August I think

Here as well. Less than .04 since the beginning of August. Now we're back in drought, again.

I believe the last real rain here was in June.

If not for my watering, everything would be crispy.

The sunflowers make me happy & the corn is about ready. Tomatoes are going nuts

I think my environment in the tropics is upside down, like how the steering wheel of an automobile in Asia is located on the right side of the vehicle or like how they read and write from right to left.

I kind of hibernate from the garden during the hot summer months and start preparing and planting during the winter months and harvest during spring.

Sow thistle is considered a noxious weed in Washington state. I'm pretty sure I've seen it growing here at my place.

Yet a food for so many animals and people. I dry it and use as a herb. It attracts aphids, therefore is of benefit as a decoy protector.

I might try overwintering a couple tomato plants using the bare-root dormancy method.
