My shoulder is still very angry. We are picking olives tomorrow and I'm pretty sure I'm going to be almost useless. FYI, I just realized that I didn't mention my shoulder earlier in the week....

I have a messed up shoulder that will never be fully fixed without surgery. Impingement, torn rotator cuff because of it. Using that tiller made it mad, then I was lifting weights on Tuesday... Felt it catch, knew I had hurt it. Now I'm in agony. I also used the stupid hand seed spreader to spread pre-emergent in the front yard... not realizing that it was going to hurt my shoulder more. Yup. OW.

Clover seed is starting to sprout. But... so are some weeds lol. Hopefully the clover can out compete. I may buy more seed and just wreck the patches of weeds and reseed.

we had some more rain. not enough to water dry soil but too much to flood 3 coops on the slope. lost one 3mo muscovy duckling, 1 indian runner is in the house. still alive but weak. I put pallets and straw in the flooded coops. ducks are happy at the moment.

We finally got rain, not a downpour but steady, with occasional drizzling. Overnight everything turned green, which I will consider a blessing.

The propane delivery man ran the hose over and through my irises. I found the white fence sections almost flat when I got home from work. So, I decided to take the remaining landscaping blocks from last Spring's gardening project and build some protection.

I left a slight gap by the fence post as I hopefully will have a new driveway gate installed in the Spring.

One of the irises had died, so I dug up one from the front yard to plant in the gap. I also did a major weed job. The dead sticks I didn't remove are Monarda, and if you look closely you can see where new growth has sprouted at the base of each stick.

I removed some Canna lilies that were going to start crowding the other flowers. I loosened up the soil next to the small shed and tamped them in. Cannas are hard to kill, they should do fine over the winter.
