What did you do in the garden today?

Pumpkin pie and chickens like pumpkins. For chickens cut them open. All pumpkins are squash. Try baking and eating some. Pictures? Ask your neighbor about what he does with his. Wildlife like pumpkins. Deer will eat them and squirrels will mostly eat the seeds.

She bought and used them to decorate her porch. I think I'll make pumpkin soup one day. Rinds are very hard. I'll get pics soon. Forget the squirrels. I eat the seeds.

How long till garden season??? We're going to get a winter storm... they think, anyway. When we go out to dinner tomorrow, we'll take the Jeep.

How long? I think I'm going to plant some pepper seeds soon so the plants are big when they go into the garden next year. They will be my house plants over the winter.

After a heavy rain in the last few days, all I have to do with my garden is waiting for it to dry and then mow the lawn.

My chilly plant leaves have yellow patches, too much rain I guess.

I have raspberries tree I got from the nursery last spring. It fruits in spring and my chickens at all of it. Now we are in summer and it is starting to fruit again. 2 within a few months. I was thinking of getting another one, but we have too much rain lately so I will leave it to next year.

Moved a few buckets of wood chips. I figure I can finish the first section in a week or two. Maybe 2 by the end of December if I could keep my motivation.

Clean the seeds and roast them for a tasty people snack.

That's what I do. We even buy extra pumpkins just so we can harvest the seeds for roasting. I currently have 2 big jack-o-lantern type pumpkins from Halloween that are still good. I'll harvest the seeds for roasting and give the chickens the pumpkin meat as a treat

I need to get out the wood chipper and make some mulch. Of course it's supposed to rain this weekend.

We need the rain so I'm trying not to complain but I do wish it would stick to week days when I don't need to be outside.
