10 lbs of Kumquats arrived!

They taste very fresh!

Plan is to can them: “cinnamon kumquats “ from Ball canning book. Also may try the Ball “oranges in Cointreau “ using kumquats. We really liked it with oranges, so should translate well. Any left and I’ll try a pickling recipe.

heavy rain here and coops flooded again. I'll have to go out later and try to dig outside the coops down the slope. my first (the lowest level) coop looks like pond. I did put pallets but water reached the top.

I just placed another order for stuff from Temu, I couldn't resist this shirt, it was only $4 with free shipping. I am not sure if I need help.

Have you seen any issues from temu ? Some people said they had extra cc charges and items sent that were not as described.

I will not do business with temu ever again. No issues with payment or the product. I got endless emails from them and clicking "unsubscribe" did not work. That to me is a sign that they are dishonest. I'm not going to give them another chance.

I sent their emails to spam to get rid of them.

How cold did it get before hell froze over

Tanks were stil running into the low teens, with slush and some ice around the edges. It was the single digits that did them in. This is inside an insulated but unheated barn/garage building. The outside fish tubs froze much sooner but the fish under the ice were still mobile.

I used a small heater last year (rated for a 200 gallon fishtank, used in a series of 4 300 gallon ibc totes) and it kept the water from freezing all winter. Still got down into the low 30's. The heater exploded early spring so I decided to test no heater this winter.

Whole or scrambled, your choice. If you're using them in baking it shouldn't make a difference.

I tried Temu 1 time, figured give it a try.
I needed a good garden vest & as I am petite most of the vests they make are too huge. Most times I ended up seeing something half decent under the fisherman vest category, but again they were huge.

So...I get on the Temu site. I find & order 1 from Temu, during which All these annoying pop ups (I despise them) like "spin the wheel" and you've got these "Free choices" to add to your order if you just pay $3 shipping, etc. & the darn pop ups interrupt & cover the entire screen & there are several...and I do mean several, like they never freaking end.

I hated the stupid pop ups...I do not like turning my shopping experience into some silly game & I do not like baiting tactics. I want what I want, and I want to get on there, Get it, and get the heck off Cause I got other stuff to do in life. I don't have time to be fooling with some silly phone for 20 annoying minutes, Just trying to order one measley thing, and having to jump through hoops to do it. (Yes, you can tell the kind of shopper I am...I know what I want, get it and then leave.) I am not a "Dilly Dally, Browsing, Got nothing else to do today" type. I hate that kind of crap.

Anyway...I did get my vest & it was just exactly what I wanted....BUT...the 2 Chicken theme shirts Were Not Cotton fabric as described, they are that awful fabric that makes ya sweat & pills looking 50 years old after 2 washes, and the damn chicken transfer was this huge, awful, thick, rubbery, nasty thing...that made for a Very Uncomfortable shirt folks, the type I cannot wear.
PLUS....to add insult to injury, I got whopping multiple charges, that ended up totaling $80.00!!!

What appeared to be a total of $30 now became freaking $80!!!!

I WILL NEVER EVER USE TEMU AGAIN!!!
