What did you do in the garden today?

Cold for a few days. The beagle still wants to spend time outside. Her choice. She barks when she wants back inside.

just before 6 am I heard my 2 mo puppy making strange noises. opened the door and saw her eating a marten

Went in to Seattle to see DH, no garden.

Planted some of my perennials. Can't find a bunch of my seeds.

Everything except parsley and sage have sprouted. I need to mix up some more soil and start the next set. I hope my oregano survived the cold, because I can't find my oregano seeds. Licorice should seed this year.

My garlic experiment sprouted, but it took longer than 3 days to sprout. Instead of leaving the clove exposed like the video, I poked them in the potting mix with only the tip showing. And instead of cutting the green tops completely off, I will cut them halfway up, so the plant can continue to grow and develop a healthy bulb.

Big bulbs need 4-6 inches apart
