What did you do in the garden today?

I didn’t do anything today except take care of the flock. I cooked some squash fritters for dinner instead of doing chores outside this morning

Cooking and caregiving is compassionate. You did what you needed - nothing wrong with that.

I weeded, and put my tomatoes in the ground, along with some lemon cucumbers and paprika peppers.
I also came out to a whole row of kohlrabi greens mangled by my SLW. Brat. She was promptly returned to her enclosed yard, along with her friends - in case anyone got any ideas.

Today I mostly just stared at the seeds I planted a few days ago and fretted that they haven’t come up yet.

I bought a pack of green beans seeds. LOL
That's it.

Next week, I'll gather all the spring seeds together and put them in ONE spot so I'm ready in 7 weeks.

Extra humidity in the air is making the cold PAINFULLY cold.
I need to sew some more hand-warmers.

Anyone ever grown lentils? DD had to sprout some lentil seeds for a biology lab. They don't need them anymore so she was allowed to bring hers home. They are currently in a ziploc bag on a wet paper towel. There's probably a dozen or more sprouted. Given that our last frost date is still 8 or 9 weeks away, I'm thinking I'll have to just plant these in a pot instead of finding a place in the garden...

I've done for fodder, but won't bother again in the garden. They take up too much room for what I can get for 99cents at the grocery.

You have to broaden your horizons, get some day old chicks so you can divide your "fret" time.
