What did you do in the garden today?

I can relate. We've had beautiful, warm weather this past week. Everything is budding out... And yet, we will be below freezing again next week with chance of snow. 😕

February is my least favorite month, followed by July and August.

I don't like november to february then august. march to july are the best months for me, september and october are just to take some breath.

A friend gifted me those palm trees, he said they were about 4 feet high, when I picked them up 😮 did I mention my husband is not a fan of gardening or green plants?! 🫣 I managed to regift 1 date palm and intend to plant the other one, they can withstand temperatures up to -7 C 🙏🏻

Just try and kill them - they will dare you! lol.

@jerryse What scions do you have currently?
I have a fig inside (rooted/rooting). It's dormant and I'm excited to see a green leaf bud any day. The previous scions didn't make it.
I have crepe myrtle cuttings overwintering in soil. Maybe they will survive.
Also persimmon cuttings in a pot with a cloche.
I marked/identified where I want the bareroot plants to be planted.
If you are asking what varieties, I have that I can take scions from I have the following pear moonglow. Ayers, Honeysweet. Cherry Kristen sweet, sour carmine jewel, Balaton and a seedling no name. Plum Waneta and 2 seedlings no name from Waneta x Shiro. Persimmon Meader. Apple Christmas.

Looks like it's more complicated, and also misleading. The sweet potato vines were grafted on to another vine which is grown hydroponically, the sweet potato tubers grown in soil and then the containers removed for harvest.
I think they wrap the vine how we would start roots on a tree and then wash off the potting mix after maybe 3 months. The feeding roots will air prune, leaving the tubers.

Planted tomatoes, peppers, black solanum, in clay soil with no bottom heat. Catnip, rosemary, and some of the tomatoes planted earlier in the week are starting to poke their heads up. Still no sign of sage or gogi.

Transplanted rhubarb, valerian and parsley into larger pots.

13 out of 14 eggs going strong.

Originally, after I got my Irish Cobblers in the mail, I buried them in my pots. Then I noticed that all of the videos on YouTube chit them, so there must be a reason right. Being nilly willy, I dug them up and put them on a tray with the pointy side down. The reason why I did that was because there were chits forming on the round part of all the potatoes.

One video I saw buried them halfway and placed a damp towel over them and in another video the potatoes were placed dry on cardboard in a lighted area, so I compromised and stuck them on wet promix uncovered and placed them near a grow light. Furthermore, I plan to plant them about 5 inches deep.

This video pointed out that I don't have to chit my potatoes and the reason why they chit potatoes is to get an early start.
