What did you do in the garden today?

Yes! I have the same problem. My sense of smell works but definitely not as good as before. I caught the bad, Delta strain of Covid in Sept 2020. Sickest I've been in my adult life, I think. Couldn't even lift my head off the pillow for several days. I had long Covid after that for about 2 months. Got better over the holidays and then came down with Covid again in January 2021 but it was super mild. More like the common cold. Still, from September until February or March, I had zero sense of smell. I don't remember any particular weird smells like gas or diesel when it came back... But my DH is super sensitive about smells. Most of the time he can smell something (animals, candles, garbage, etc) and says it's really strong but I can only barely smell it.

I haven't had Covid again since that time. I rarely get sick or the sniffles. Usually allergies for a day or two, if I do. But I take a lot of vitamin supplements for inflammation, antioxidants, etc... Vitamin D3 + Zinc are supposed to be virus killers. I take them religiously, along with Quercetin, Astaxanthin, NAC, Berberine, and Fish Oil.
What got me was Delta too! I get Covid regularly every half year after that, but never lost sense of smell again. I think I need to take more supplements. :hmm

I start to root fig cuttings now. As a newbie, I made lots of mistakes and got some cuttings to grow leaves but not roots! After the leaves died off, I dug them out and was shocked to find there's no root at all! Anybody have experience about rooting figs? I heard they are really easy but not for me.

I did the same mistake with paulownia. I guess they must be 100% dormant when planted.

Aside from the fact that peppers don't grow from the stem like that (notice the location of the blossom in the earlier shot), and there is no sign of roots on those potatoes, I have some questions.

Five days for pepper germination?

Why the constant use of rooting hormone? Is that supposed to be fertilizer?

What is with the egg?

That baby pepper is way too small for grafting. I want much more detail on the grafting process. What I see doesn't make sense.

Garlic??!! What are the garlic and aloe vera for? He feeds it separately...

The dirt would not stay in the bucket, no matter how perfect the fit.

While it is possible to graft a potato and a pepper, the potatoes in the final shot are not attached to any kind of root system. The peppers are also not attached. The soil would be far more compacted. The potatoes would be deformed from growing so close together. And while it is possible to get that many potatoes from one plant it's highly unlikely.

My conclusion: while this may be a possibility, this video is a fraud. I would need far more information on their process to determine whether it would work as shown.
I also want much more detail. Those spuds looked too uniform for my liking - that's all I needed to see, glad you went the extra mile! I don't trust any of these so-called miraculous growing method videos. We never see a face, hear a voice, they just don't look or feel like gardeners to me. On ebay AU someone is selling cat face orchid seeds. Hundreds of seed packs were sold using the A.I. image below. 'Miracle grow' videas also make their creators lots of quick money.

Scammers are always finding new ways of taking advantage of gullible people, and apparently selling seeds of fake flowers generated by artificial intelligence is one of their latest techniques.

Artificial intelligence is touted as the next big thing in technological evolution, but right now it also seems to be a perfect tool for scammers looking to take advantage of people who can’t tell the difference between what’s real and what’s not.

@Nym, thank you for the info on making natural stain for wood. I copied down 8 because I don't want to use any tobacco or black walnut hulls around my food. I will post pictures after I get some made and stain the beds.
You're welcome! I can't wait to see what you use. I used vinegar and rusted steel wool + nails to stain my gazebo deck. I then applied a few coats of 50/50 turps and linsead oil. You could probably use beeswax to seal in the colour.
