Recent rain has helped loosen a few weeds I wanted out. Everything else is looking very happy. The dogs enjoyed a nice grooming in the sun with roughly twisted rosemary.

I put them at the end of the chicken run, so they can get morning sun, and so I can feed it easily to the chickens. I do hope it's tenacious! I have so many weeds and so much clay and rocks, my yard isn't really suitable for anything fancy. I hope it makes the soil better. What I've read is comfrey is pretty tenacious.
Put them somewhere where they can spread a bit. I wish one of mine were about 8 feet away from where it is.![]()
That looks like a cactus I have... I haven't figured out how to keep it from falling over other than to let it lean on the sunroom window. ( it's indoors)
I found one today that looked like he crawled back inside his shell....I love how they sleep like passed out frat boys!
Of the 5 comfrey starts you sent me last year, only 1 or maybe 2 have popped back up this spring. One looks really good. The other is iffy... I think the one that is going well is because it gets morning sun but shade the rest of the day AND has no or limited competition from weeds in that spot. Pretty sure weeds choked out at least 2 of my starts... And the 3rd just disappeared altogether. I think maybe the goats ate it.What I've read is comfrey is pretty tenacious.

Mine is a mess from the phone too.Question. I know some of you post from your phone. I find it a hassle. Is there an easy way to get onto this thread from my phone?
I have the app but don't use it. The "attach files" button doesn't work.Question. I know some of you post from your phone. I find it a hassle. Is there an easy way to get onto this thread from my phone?
I had a bit of sticker shock when I got chicks on Saturday. $7.99/ea for the Speckled Sussex. $9.99/ea for the Welbar and Prairie Bluebell. For that price, if I have a rooster in the mix I'll be a little annoyed. Between that and waiting in line for over an hour and a half... I'm very glad I have them though! Time to expand the chicken coop!Plan is to get seeds in soil tomorrow, as well as mulch the garden and warm the incubator. I'm NOT spending $54 (OR MORE) on 9 CHICKS !
I walked the garden today the rhubarb and horseradish is up as is the Lovage, the strawberries, columbine and sedum.
