What did you do in the garden today?

My strawberry barrels now have turntables under them! 👏👏👏:celebrate

This should make them easier to harvest and keep trim. I followed @WthrLady advice and used marine lube on the ball bearings so hopefully they won't rust. We had to use the tractor and a tow chain to lift the barrels... Very heavy! Thankfully the turntables support up to 1000 lbs.

I pulled 4 buckets of grass (and their stolons) out of the grapes. I pulled/dug 3 buckets of weeds out of the rest of the garden and gave them to the chickens.

Nothing except a few marigolds have sprouted in the green house, still. As long as we get even half an hour of sunshine, it gets warm enough in there to be green house-y warm.

Oh, the sun has to be high enough in the sky to shine INTO the green house, Mother Nature. Don't give me a half hour of sunlight at dawn and say, "there ya go!"

Snow and rain today. 🤮 I did a little research trying to figure out what tool(s) I’m going to need to cut my cattle panels down to the appropriate size.
I just used a pair of cobalt brand long handle bolt cutters. I placed one handle on hard ground and push down on the other. Cuts like a dream.

I pulled weeds from the flower bed. Fed those to Rusty the rabbit. Got to show the 2 youngest grandsons the ducklings and garden. I planted some cactus plants and a spider plant into a pot and hopefully I can use the pots around the seating area with a water fountain I want to make. Wonderful cool but sunny and breezy day today.
