We had a barn swallow do that above our door one year. Kids thought it was cute so we let her stay. Big mistake...,I have a bird trying to build a moss nest above my door. It is not a Carolina wren.

Just like chicken math, there is plant math.
There is a related illness, called "Plant Amnesia/Seed Amnesia." That particular malady goes like this: You buy/order plants/seeds. They aren't at your house, or, are tucked away, out of sight. Seed packets are very good at this! You forget that you have them. Totally gone from your memory, or just a little hazy thought like, "Yeah, I have some of those somewhere, or on order."
You buy more plants/seeds, picking them out in person. You take them home. Now the flashbacks start. "Oh! Didn't I already buy some of these? Where are they? When do I need to plant them?"
Sometimes the trigger is finding several (or several dozen) plants or seed packets tucked away, safely waiting for their time to go into the soil. Sometimes the memories flood back when someone says, "Honey, why did you get more of these? You have 50 of them stored on the back porch or in the basement. And didn't you say you ordered more stuff from Gurney's last week? Where will you plant it all?"
