What did you do in the garden today?

Coming to the end of the peas, will plant again for a fall crop, started pulling blackberries and some of the potatoes, beans are starting to come on. Working on putting the permanent netting over the blueberries, cabbages are ready for harvest and will become sauerkraut. Will be planting cabbage again later this summer. And on it goes, soon canning will be in full swing:wee
PLUS!!!! WE HAVE A BROODY HEN, YEAH!!! She’s taken to wanting to hatch three eggs and we’re going to support her all the way, feel like I’m going to be a grandfather again.

The end? I'm seeing the first two or three pea pods in my garden that are just about ready to pick. LOL

Couldn't find any Spreader Sticker locally so I had to order it. In the meantime, I added some Castile soap to the kaolin clay hoping it might help. It seemed to at first but halfway through the solution got real thin and basically useless. I'll spray again once the SS arrives.

Picked about 3 gallons of potatoes and a large handful of green beans. Found 2 zucchini that were hidden so they are ginormous... Any suggestions on how to use giant squash? I'm thinking maybe zucchini bread but open to suggestions. Going to have a bumper crop of spaghetti squash. Found several cushaw and a couple of baby pumpkins too but no watermelon yet. I really need to spray my tomatoes too. I've never had bugs attack the unripe fruit like they are this year...

My peas are just starting to bloom. Most of my cool weather crops are happy, it’s the warm weather stuff I’m worried about. The squash and the peppers in particular are pale. 🙏 they pull through!

Slice the zucchini into steaks and grill.. or cube and put in a skewer for kabobs! Yum!
