What did you do in the garden today?

Welp, received my sweet potato slips from Southern Exposure Seed Exchange today. A word to the wise. When they say "slips" they mean SLIPS. These things don't have roots, they're basically cuttings. My fault I suppose, I just assumed that I was buying an actual plant. Southern Exposure is my go to for plant seeds that do well in the South, and also many unusual varieties. Don't think I'll be ordering any more slips from them though.

Ever consider just growing your own slips. This is what we do using potatoes from last seasons crop. Only ever bought slips once.

What?!!!! You have to have a permit for a chicken coop!!!!!! That's crazy too!
Where we live we don’t even need a permit for a fence. Only requirement is it can’t be over 8’ high, and the county only recommends being one foot inside the property line. In fact the only thing the county required for our coop was that it was 10’ inside the property line, and we are not in the country, more agricultural.

I do. Any permanent structure over 100 SQ ft requires a county building permit as well as inspection.
The inspector thought it was a HOOT! No water, no power, but he came out twice while I built to check things and then on a final trip for final inspection. They didn't even have a box for farm building - chicken coop but for some reason had dog kennel, so he marked that one.
That is INSANE. Just completely crazy government overreach... :old

I had a problem with my right leg and couldn't sit on my knees on the floor, it was too painful, so I knew something was wrong. I couldn't pinpoint where the pain was coming from as I tried to stretch it out. Then one day both legs had the same problem. My left leg got healed after I started drinking bone broth and found a stretch that worked. The pain in my right leg went away after I started taking collagen supplements. I think the pain was coming from my knee joint. This Joint Collagen supplement solved my problem.

Nitric oxide production
: Some studies suggest collagen may help increase nitric oxide levels, which relaxes blood vessels and improves circulation.
  • Improved arterial flexibility: Collagen is a key structural protein in blood vessels. As we age and collagen levels drop, arteries can stiffen—raising blood pressure. Supplementing collagen may help restore elasticity, making it easier for blood to flow and reducing strain on the heart.
  • Reduced inflammation: Some studies suggest collagen peptides may lower inflammation, which is linked to hypertension and cardiovascular disease.
  • Clinical findings: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials found that collagen peptide supplementation significantly reduced systolic blood pressure (by about 5 mmHg), along with improvements in LDL cholesterol and body composition.
