What did you do in the garden today?

I was thinking the same thing. Garlic is looking weak this year so I’m kinda scared.
The plants look good, made good scapes. I planted two kinds: my standby, Music, and a new-to-me variety called Metechi. The Metechi plants are definitely smaller, but it was advertised as being a smaller variety, but with a big flavor. The Metechi scapes are just starting.

My 60 garlic plants seem to look weaker since I harvested the scapes. Maybe it's my imagination, or maybe it's just time for them to fall over and get dug up. I planted them last October and they sprouted soon after that, and have grown all winter during warmer periods.

Pretty sure I didn't end up a winner versus pests on the peaches. Picked a little over 20 of them tonight. Every single one had pest damage... Even ones I'd put stockings (worthless) and bags over. Over half were wormy. Cutting out the bad parts, I think I ended up with about 3-4 cups of peach pieces. Most were less than a half dollar or quarter in size. I'll use them to make a syrup, maybe. Probably pick more this week... It's just frustrating and time consuming to end up throwing 3/4 of the peach away anyway.

Our slower grown zucchini plant revived but still small... but at least it's alive!

Was it all you thought it would be?

Let's see, ticks, biting flies, too hot, too humid, a weird rash, not enough wind, wind from the wrong direction, too much sun, slimy sunscreen.....yep, pretty much a classic date.
