What did you do in the garden today?

I wonder if you are watching a video from LINCOLN COUNTY which is way out west by Dickens. That's not anywhere near Lincoln Ne.
Confusing, I agree.
Yep. South of North Platte, we've stayed there a couple of times.
Lincoln, NE is a straight-line west of us.
We were watching Max Velocity but this is one of the crazy storm chasers he highlights.

Ya, 90% of it is. But that's not the % that controls the $$ or makes the rules. I think we have the highest or second highest property taxes in the country. But hey, we have a balanced budget every year.
What's your sales tax rate? And how often do you have to pay vehicle registration? We pay 8.25% sales tax here. Vehicles have to be registered every year. Including the boat that I pay property taxes on and our travel trailer. Dirt bikes and other ohvs are every two years.

Look at this. Our gauge has shown steady high 60s to low 70s humidity inside even!

I wish it was 70 here.... Our heat index is headed over 100 every day for the weekend and into next week.

:sick
For being in Washington state it sure has been dry. But with the relatively low (nice!) temperatures it hasn't been too hard to keep things watered. There's a chance of rain later this week but it won't be enough to do any good.

I dried some okra and thought the seeds would sprout right away, but it took a long time. In fact an 11-inch-long type okra seed that I bought a year ago sprouted before the newly semi dry one.

I hate when just one seed sprout before all the rest. Because I have to take the dome off.

Lol, now that I see the date, it's only been a little more than a week which is normal. But it felt like months. It's a good thing I labeled them. The newly dried Okra just sprouted this morning after rain. The seed tray has a mat that wicks water up and keeps the cells hydrated.

We pay sales tax at the DMV with the registration based on the sale price of the vehicle at the time of purchase. They we pay tax on the car's amount/worth as it devalues EVERY year each time we renew the sticker on the license plate. This continues for the first 10 years YOU own the vehicle. Everything that goes on the road is tagged and registered here, trailers, campers, RVs, tow behinds, boats, motor bikes, motorcycles, horse trailers, livestock haulers, cars/trucks etc. PLUS if you live in city limits there is an additional WHEEL tax for the honor of driving on their potholes.
Sales tax state and local is currently 7.25%
