What did you do in the garden today?

Well... It's happened. I've officially joined your club. Canned peaches yesterday and had ONE canning lid fail to seal. It was a Ball. To be fair, it was a lid I was reusing... I've watched your posts about failures but never had one myself until yesterday.

Gotta change the lid and run it through again. Hope my peaches don't turn to mush.... Maybe I ought to just use them instead.

Yeah he cut it on Thursday, raked on Saturday and baled on Sunday. They were large bales, but it was only 1/2 of the field, he went ahead and got them off the field because tonight we have a chance for rain. Our tractors are from the 80's but my husband told me that he has air in it. I didn't even know. However, the skid steer doesn't and that's how he has to move hay.
My cousin's tractor doesn't have a cab much less AC, it was his dad's.
Picture from today. Not very good but gives the idea 😂

This gourd can reach a huge size, but I’ll pick it tomorrow.View attachment 4155185
And this is my baby melon cucumber, I think it’s the West Bank variety, I planted three different kinds, and didn’t mark which is which.
That variety of squash are a local favorite in my area, and young squash which are picked half the size of the one in the picture can be seen in my local markets. You probably can grow other varieties like the Giant Bullhead squash and Chinese Winter melon (Wax gourd) in your area. However, Giant Bullhead squash can't be found in my local markets, maybe because it's too heavy and Chinese Winter melon can only be found near the new year, but the high ethnic specialty price is ridiculous.

Saw these kitchen towels at hobby lobby this morning. I actually laughed out loud.

My tractor is open cab too. If it's hot, I'm hot. If it's freezing, I'm frozen.

@TJAnonymous I bought a bunch of ball lids on clearance last fall just to use on dry goods with a vacuum pump. The D*^& things won't even hold a dry vacuum seal 20% or more of the time.
