What did you do in the garden today?

You always mention how bad this stuff smells, do you see improvement in your garden when using it? Personally, I’m a glutton for punishment and wanted to know if they’re are more of us out there.
Well, the only fertilizer I've used on my onions, shallots, beets, kale and cabbages this year is the stinky weed tea and they're all doing great. Are the plants feeding off of the inch thick layer of chicken run bedding I added to the garden last fall too? Probably, but logic tells me that there also has to be some benefit from the weed tea. And it hasn't killed or stunted any plants, so that's a plus. LOL

Have you ever smelled this fertilizer? It smells pretty awful too. It's what I used to fertilize my peppers, tomatoes, zucchinis and cukes.

Never used it BUT I am wanting to get something for my tomatoes. I thought maybe this year I’d actually pay more attention to them so I think this will go on my list for tomorrow

Harvested another handful of peas, I think the rest will stay on the plants for seed.

The babying under the cloche appears to have helped, my squash plant is starting to bloom. I’m a little surprised, given it’s only about six inches across total!

I love that stuff lol

I love that stuff lol
When I planted my peppers and tomatoes I mixed a good handful of the Garden Tone into the soil around the rootballs of the plants. It's supposed to feed them for a few months.

I side dressed the zucchinis and cukes with Garden Tone after they grew a bit and were thinned out.

The GardenTone. Not sure what the weed tea is LOL
Weed tea is simply a bucket full of weeds, grass clippings, garden trimmings or whatever, filled with water and allowed to ferment and rot for at least a couple of weeks. The longer the better. I started mine a few months ago.

Add more weeds and stuff when you want, top off with more water when you use some liquid from the bucket. I mix at approximately 1 part weed tea liquid to 10 parts water, and pour it around the bases of the garden plants.

Ahhhhh. Interesting. LOL

The tomato support t-posts are all in place. I'll use the Florida weave to support the determinate Roma plants and the indeterminate tomatoes will be tied directly to the posts, with height extensions added as needed.

Thank goodness you posted pictures, lol. I was wracking my brain trying to figure out what a t post was and how you would use it to support tomatoes. As soon as I saw it I understood. (I use a lot of tools and stuff but have never learned correct names of them apparently. They're all doohickeys and thingamabobs. Lol)
