What did you do in the garden today?

More cukes pulled today along with more cherry tomatoes PLUS we are beginning to get some ripe Peron tomatoes, I see tomato canning just around the corner. We also had to carefully trim some feathers from around the vent of one of our hens Clarice. She always seems to get soiled there and we’ve cleaned her a few times prior so decided to trim just a bit of the feathers that had poop on them. I’m developing a soft spot for her because she is often off by herself and is such a gentle sweetie. Of course, this causes my main gal, Little Girl, to get jealous….and she lets me know she’s jealous. Unexpectedly found myself in a love triangle of sorts.

I just saw a share on FB about all the things ivermectin can help. You can't copy and paste from FB. If you really want to know message me. Maybe we can figure out how to share this.
I don't know how to share online stuff either, so computer illiterate! I have been so sick for over a week, what I thought was a little cold starting went straight to my lungs and just couldn't breathe. You reminded me of the ivermectin I took during covid, so I broke that out. Whaddayaknow! Miracle stuff! I have the liquid pour on stuff, and put A 1/4 tsp in my black coffee in the morning. I can breathe again, my lungs are opening back up. Plan to use it every morning til I feel back to normal energy wise. Now for a trip down to the garden to see if anything survived while I was down.

I can relate to some degree... I freeze dried EVERYTHING last year. Tons of stuff across every food group. But I've found that I rarely go back and use it. I've put the fruit in smoothies. I also use the freeze dried corn in my very awesome salmon salad... But outside of those, I just haven't really used anything. I think part of the problem is the reconstitution. If I were doing a stew or something, it would be easy. But I haven't yet figured out the trick to rehydrating in a way that would resemble fresh veggies. 🤔
The cell walls of a lot of vegetable fibers get broken when the water is frozen inside. Think about how plants look after a hard frost. The consistency of your veggies and fruits are going to be altered. They won't ever rehydrate to exactly like fresh. At least not the texture. I ate some of the raw butternut squash, rehydrated it, it was very close to when it was fresh. Softer but tasted exactly the same.
