What did you do in the garden today?

It said feels like 122'F at 9:30am this morning so what do we do? Almost everything apparently.
Among the most time consuming was with our sweet corn. We didn't get as much as last year but after picking, shucking, blanching, cutting and packaging we got 25 bags of 2 1/2 cups each.
I need my thumb to heal up so I can get some things done...

So now my flock harmony is less harmonious. As mother starts to cut the two new peeps off, they’re one month old, they are getting harassed at bedtime over the roosting spot. My favorite and friendliest hen is pecking at them when they try to share a roost with her. Plenty of room on the roost BTW and the other four will be on the other roost. Thinking of adding another smaller roost in the coop for the peeps to hopefully eliminate this problem. Hoping for some wisdom from the experts in the chicken world. The chickens do not display any issues outside of this night time roosting issue.
I've read on here hanging a piece of cardboard after the spot the last then sits works well..the new ones can go on the other side and out of peck zone..

Between the corn and butchering chickens with a broken thumb I can't imagine how much you do when it's not broken! Your corn looks wonderful - and I'm from the "Cornhusker State" so that's a real compliment:)

Yes, they can! I had the very bottom edge of my top two incisors filled and smoothed out. You can't see that anything has been done at all, other than the little rough spots are filled in.

Go to the dentist. You don't want the weakened tooth to break. The little edge fillings weren't cheap (about $440 all together), but fixing a broken tooth would be much more expensive.
Thanks, it's good to know that someone else experienced something similar. My damaged teeth feel fragile on the inside; I am going to schedule an appointment on Monday. I only go to the dentist if something is wrong, so I don't have a regular dentist.
