What did you do in the garden today?

Yesterday I rebuilt a side of the bird run, met an Emu (someone wants to gift me one) and fixed the coop so the Hens will roost with the younguns (they are sleeping in the garage)
This product is made with EMU bird oil. It's a miracle product for bedsores and other skin irritations. It will clear any skin rash down where the sun doesn't shine. I always keep it in stock and use it often.

Clarify, if you please, EMU bird oil. Where exactly does this oil exist in the bird?

Thanks for the info. I'd never heard of it. It's really expensive however for bedsores and stuff like that especially - if it works then it's 100% worth it.

I’ve been keeping as busy as possible. My summer squash are coming up strong as are the cucumbers. I’ve had serious issues with squash bugs and SVB’s over the past few years so this year I waited to plant them all again. Fingers crossed. I’m still getting a handful of peas every other day or so. I haven’t pulled the plants because I have other plants (carrots and acorn squash) coming up in the same beds. I started harvesting the pole beans a few days ago. I’ve picked just under 2 pounds from 2 eight foot rows. The black beans are doing well and started climbing. I did some weeding up on the hill garden with the SM tomato plants and onions. I’m concerned about my grapes. One of the vines is bearing fruit that I suspect has a fungus. I can try to spray with neem oil. It’s not like we’re getting any rain soon. So today is day one of what I believe is our 5th heat wave of this year. The heat index for tomorrow is expected over 100F. Good grief, this is New England. To add insult to injury, our electric rates are going up again already. Oh joy!
