What did you do in the garden today?

I bought this metal blade weed wacker today. I couldn't resist.

Haven't been out to the garden yet I am still trying to figure out why I cannot get this headache to go away. I'm going to have to get out to the garden today because it's been a while since I was out there. I hope I have some zucchini to pick but with my luck it'll be gone. Something is eating it before I can get it big enough to harvest.

That thing looks dangerous. Not your typical ankle biter.
My electric nylon string weed Wacker can't cut California grass, so I am trying this round metal blade weed Wacker. I also needed something to cut a grass edge; the blade and trim protector can turn vertical without the wheels. It also comes with nylon blades and a rechargeable battery. The brand is called Wood Ranger. I see it on amazon.

Looks like an effective tool. Nice that it can be converted into an edger.

I'm mostly getting Tomato Hornworms.

I'm about ready to nuc them. What has worked for you all?

Like if they'd just eat one tomato they could live but they have to ruin every single one on each plant then top it before I'm ready. These jerks must die! I have never had them so bad, my old place had the wasps that killed them. I miss those wasps!

I hate using the "hard" stuff but they are killing off my whole crop. I pick at least 7 a day, none are small. Jerks!

Go out at night with a black light and a bucket. They glow and are easily picked off. I have them this year for basically the first time.

I'm such an idiot. I haven't grown any type of paste tomatoes in quite a few years, this year I did because I want to make lots of tomato soup. Well I forgot I grew them & had just been plucking off all the suckers like normal till I saw the first small roma shaped tomato. Now I have the worlds smallest amish paste & roma plants going. :he So much for a good tomato harvest.
