Got some lettuces and cilantro started in pots for fall. Hopefully, our temps moderate so nothing bolts.

We didn't get that- which is fine since we've had 7" in Last two weeks! I'm glad you got it. We did get the clouds! Then the sun ... Then 105 for heat index..

We were at 110 out in hay country. We had just enough rin to flash to steam on the asphalt roads. Hoping for Pre-dawn storms.

please no that would be unbearable. I can hardly go outside once it is up to 100
I just take care of my critters and go INSIDE

I did get in all 7 of the Tremors movies in the last 2 days though, the heat is good for catching up on classics

I bottom watered my kale, collard and cabbage seedlings out on the front porch. I haven't decided if I'm going to move them into bigger pots or just plant the little seedlings in the garden. I'll probably just put them into the garden when they get a little bigger and hope for the best. I like easy.

All 14 chickens got a couple hours of free ranging time this evening. The three different age groups are starting to get along with each other pretty well now. The youngest four include three cockerels, and they're almost as big as the others now, but their hormones haven't kicked in yet. It'll be happening soon, and the change in flock dynamics will be interesting to watch.
