I use them also. I started using clear ones so I can see the roots. So, I’m not the only one.
This Crimson Red shot up within a month of planting to about two foot tall or so, very lush and full. Then it just started to falter and is now barely poking above ground, it is alive though. The Victoria is doing much, much better.Rhubarb likes it's feet in the shade and head in the sun and rich soil that doesn't hold too much moisture. mine are in raised (on the ground) beds, filled with bagged top soil, cow manure, and compost mixed with alpaca poo. That was 3 years ago. The plant started the size of an orange. It's now 6 feet across and 3 feet high.
Have you ever heard of the Red Green show?I use them also. I started using clear ones so I can see the roots.
Excellent information. Thank you. I have the sun, they're in sandy soil, and I will give them more chicken poop compost once or twice more before winter.Rhubarb likes it's feet in the shade and head in the sun and rich soil that doesn't hold too much moisture.
