What did you do in the garden today?

I don’t disagree, I just hope it’s only because we’re still early in the season and not a reflection on the apple harvests.
Our orchard sells frozen cider from the end of last year first. The demand is incredibly high and so, therefore, is the price, mid season it can go down, unless the weather and traffic is nice, then the price stays up. End of season cider, is again made with drops or unpicked fruit and frozen over the winter.

Yep, I remember trying to find the sausage stuffer tubes for old plastic grinder, couldn’t them because they changed the grinder to the metal one ( which is much better IMO) which took a different diameter on the tube flanges. I have two KA stand mixers, one is at least 20-30 years old, and haven’t had any issues mounting attachments to the PTO.
this is an attachment that goes ON the grinder, and that grinder goes on the PTO. They changed the out bound side of the grinder 3 times in 8/10 years. So none of the attachments that go on the outbound end of the grinder are interchangeable with any other grinder, they are all grinder specific.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. DD drove me and the grand kids to the Clam Box for our annual gorging on fresh seafood. I picked up the peaches that fell off my tree in the downpour yesterday before we went on our lunch trip. The peaches are just now starting to turn fully ripe. So when I got home I peeled and sliced them and sprinkled with fruit fresh to keep them overnight. I got 1 1/2 pounds of juicy slices. Tomorrow I’ll turn them into a crostata.

Cuisinart. Simple, not fancy. Two buttons On and Off-pulse
x2, specifically an 11-14 cup one
It isn’t necessarily the cheapest but it will easily last over 20 years if used and maintained properly (and even if it isn’t it will probably still be fine). If you can find a used one then you can probably get it for under $150

I have one of these KitchenAid food processors and love it.
