I hear there's people who enjoy chewing tobacco too.I don’t think I could bring myself to shoot squirrels. Chipmunks I have no problem with killing but there is just something about squirrels that I love

I'd love to hear how they taste. And as an experiment I made a pint of dill green tomatoes from the small ones I accidentally cut off while pruning vines. I used the same cucumber brine for the tomatoes.
Did nothing for the ones around here. Either it didn't faze the birds, or they got used to it.flashy tape for the birds
I'd be so upset I'd be getting revenge on all.I'd love to hear how they taste.

Birds and/or squirrels got all my cherries. Nearly all my blueberries.
Zucchini boats are amazing.I'm going to find out how stuffed/filled zucchini halves taste tonight. More cheese going on later in the bake. I'm working with what I have on hand.

Im sorry -big hug to you.I use to add spent coffee grounds from a coffee shop
made the coop smell great.
Not sure why but since DH died I have not stopped there.
Oh geez! Ouch.Hope you heal quickly! It's absolutely beautiful outside today! High of 78 and sunny... Sadly, I will not get to enjoy it. Was cleaning the chicken coop yesterday and fell off a step stool. Landed on the chicken roost (landscaping timber) and severely injured my ribs, back, and hip. Thought I broke my back at first. Thankfully nothing is broken but badly bruised. Hard to move around right now and bending down is not happening.
I have not had the need or opportunity to try this myself (no fruit trees of my own!), but I have heard birds will go for fruit for the water content, and that providing a bird bath or other water source helps. For those of y'all with fruit trees, how do you keep squirrels away? I lost so much tree fruit this year in my young orchard to bothand
. I figure I'll get some netting and flashy tape for the birds but won't squirrels climb right up under the net? I was thinking maybe something like a baffle you'd use on a pole with a birdhouse. What's worked out not worked for all y'all?
Nope. Have a fountain in the yard, stones for birds and bee to be able to enjoy also. Less than 10 feet from the orchard. Nope, they love that fruit. Got all my cherries this year, didn't even save me one. Ungrateful wretches! I have a pond for my ducks. Water isn't the issue.I have not had the need or opportunity to try this myself (no fruit trees of my own!), but I have heard birds will go for fruit for the water content, and that providing a bird bath or other water source helps.
Cute! All of my eggplants this year have ended up looking like this. I’m not sure why View attachment 4213280
Also I’m not sure what happened but i just had the hottest jalapeño I have ever ate. I can eat cayennes without an issue but that thing was BAD
