What did you do in the garden today?

Does anyone have a watering wand they really like? Or are they all just disposable junk after two seasons? Mine is an extended version, but I'm still killing my back trying to reach things. It also feels like the water's either coming out in a geyser or a trickle. The control lever is a joke.

@thecatumbrella , I made one out of a section of 1/2" pex pipe, a brass hose valve and a drip irrigation fitting. There's no "shower head" on it, water just runs straight out of the pipe onto the ground. The valve adjusts from a trickle to full flow. PEX pipe can be as long as you want to make watering easy.

As an alternative, instead of the drip irrigation fitting a garden hose fitting like this would work.

I have heard good things about hoselink wands.

I just have a cheap one from Walmart that was $8 or something. There was also a bigger version of it (I think 27 inches?) but I needed something more maneuverable

I might actually have the parts to make this! Thank you. 😁

I'll look into them, thanks! I have something similar to yours from Sam's Club. It's pretty good, but just doesn't seem to last very long before getting gunked up. Maybe it's my water.

I planted some walking onions (thanks @Sally PB!!!) and got myself covered in dirt topping off one of my raised beds that settled a lot. In hindsight shredded cardboard was probably not a great thing to fill 20% of the bed with View attachment 4215657
My very weirdly shaped grow bags got here too. They are 5 inches wide by 12 inches tall
