What did you do in the garden today?

Dry and 90, and I'm exhausted too @TJAnonymous
The air is THICK with harvest dust and pirate bugs. ie, there is no air in the air
Spent the afternoon playing on the new tractor. It's so much larger! I'll get used to him eventually.
Tore down the old manure bin, which had three openings, but was in a bad spot. The wood was just starting to go, and the openings were too small for the new tractor. I only had two inches to spare.
So down it came.

When I say the RKN infestation is bad. I mean it's bad.

Look at this insanity! Ugh!

I just ripped out a bunch of stuff. Peppers, tomatoes, tomatillos, corn stumps.

These are my favorite types of days. Cloudy, humid, 72°, trees still have leaves.

Today I'll clean the chicken coop if it doesn't rain.
So, after reading your posts for awhile I have to ask: Do you ever stop or even slowdown? You appear to be the human energizer bunny.

Harvested the tarragon and some sage. Took clippings of both to try to root (again, hope springs eternal!).

Yikes! I’ve heard marigolds can help, and some species of beneficial nematodes. Good luck, whatever you decide to do! 🙏

Same. I noticed I had some small cabbage loopers worms and a bunch of Harlequin beetles on my kale. Downpour and overnight temps into the 50s. No pests anywhere on them now...
Happy that's been duplicated at your place too. Going to remember that next year as part of my pest control methods. Let mother nature handle it for me, I love that!

I should be sleeping...

Yesterday I put the dirt back into the garden bed that I torched to kill RKN. I did a second soil drench on the soil that was left in the bed. Then did all the rest of the beds. Picked some tomatoes, peppers and strawberries. I added rice hulls to the bed with the torched soil and bio-live.

On Friday I mowed the lawn and spread the clippings around the fruit trees. The chickens are keeping it turned so I don't have to worry about it matting.

Tomorrow I'm not sure what I'll work on but seed garlic gets here Monday. The countdown begins. 4 weeks out for starting garlic here. I'll be planting close to 400 cloves. Possibly more. My math is based on the assumption that I'll get 8 cloves to plant per head on average.
You will never have to worry about vampires in your house! Reading your list makes me want a nap!
