A devious minded person would stop by the spray paint aisle before heading to lumber. Not me. I like to sleep at night but I'm just saying it could happen.

It's hunters purple and you'd be noticed for sure.

Hot, dry and combine season here. So dusty! I watered today because the peppers are showing out. Made pickles again because my pregnant daughter-in-law is in the dill pickle phase of her pregnancy. Between her and my grandson I'm grateful for a wonderful cucumber year!

IT is crazy dusty, but glad for the DRY.
Not happy about the pirate bugs and mosquitoes though.

Glad it's dry for the farmers for sure. But the dust, bugs and my family has allergies with everything this time of year .

Wow crazy!!! What variety are they?

Uhhhh..... It's either Danvers 126, or Scarlet Nantes. Pretty sure it's Nantes though.

Ate two of the carrots in minestrone soup tonight. They were delicious. I was worried they'd be woody, not the case. Added our tomatoes to the soup and bell pepper. Used our home grown garlic for a topping on flat bread we made from the leftover pizza dough we made on Friday. Growing our own food makes me so happy!

Don't accidently water your power strip though. I recently popped a GFCI when I watered my grow lights (the ones below the shelf I was watering). I put electrical tape over the connectors yesterday, I let them dry plenty long... Forgot about them and wound up with leggy seedlings.
