What did you do in the garden today?

It doesn't matter which way you go, sunset today in South Bend will still be an hour and fifteen minutes before Gary, even though it only takes the sun 15 minutes to travel that far. You gotta draw the line somewhere. Some people will get an earlier sunrise others will get a later sunset. Choose one. My dogs don't care which.

So I went out to see about picking more of the pumpkins. I'm not about to get out there and try to pick at the minimum of 8 to 10 more. I still have pumpkins to process and I need to get started on the pomegranate jelly and syrup. I did pick 4 beautiful ripe red pomegranates for my neighbor's husband. I think I probably already posted that part. I think I need to see if I can get my mom to come up and help me. She really needs a break from her house.

I kinda am. I get tired of dragging a cord everywhere, especially when I cut the clover.... The cord gets really gross and I have to get it all the way around the pool. Plus I swear, every time I mow out there a chicken poops on the cord and I get a nasty surprise when I roll it up. Honestly, I want a gas mower again but nobody is getting rid of them since California banned selling new ones.

I remember when daylight savings time first started. Not all states did it at first. Here is an idea move the time one half hour and leave it there. I call that compromise.

You could always move to the Western most part of whichever time zone you prefer.
