What did you do in the garden today?

Got a little more of the garden ready for winter. The side I tilled I dug some trenches in where I will dump chicken poop until late Dec then stop. I did this last year and it seemed to of worked really well. I plant my onions on each side of the trench in the spring, stuff like that. I don't do it where my potatoes go.

I went out to the garden and looked around at all the work I have to do and then decided to come back in the house and pay the bills then had to go to the hospital to pick up my husband's mother and then I went grocery shopping. I also fed the animals and gathered the eggs. I need to go check to see if I have more than the 8 I already got.

That's one of the beautiful things about fall garden cleanups. They can wait. They can wait all winter if need be! Sounds like you had much more pressing concerns.

we had a few drops of rain. better than nothing. still waiting for green beans to ripen. should transplant the last cauliflowers but no time. pregnant rabbits are due on 14th and 17th november so building maternity ward has priority. I do have some cages but they are not ratproof.
