What did you do in the garden today?

12v and 18v .... At least from 1990s or 80s
That's always been the fly in the ointment for me. You buy cordless tools and are then committed to needing to make a future purchase of the batteries FOR THAT DESIGN just to find out THAT DESIGN is no longer available. Now you’re left with perfectly good yet useless tools. What options are you left with? Only one……new tools. Big advantage of corded is that until the tool itself fails you’ll always have it available….assuming you pay your electric bill.

My brother has Ryobi because they said the batteries would always fit. So far they have.

Fitting - That's why I buy KitchenAid mixers, so that all the attachments I've purchased over the past 35 years would keep fitting. UNTIL this year. I JUST (Friday) replaced my dead 6qt with a new 3.5qt, and NONE of my accessories fit in the front PTO. Back in the box it went.
This is on top of them redesigning the metal meat grinder, which also runs the sausage stuffer and the puree attachment. The old style of those do not fit the new grinder, so you have to buy the new bits to fit the new bit.
Annoyed and I let them know it.

Garden is still a bit too moist go go play in. Got the candy boards made, they will set over night then I'll put them on tomorrow afternoon as long as the weather plays along. Also finished tearing apart 4 pallets for the materials.
Candy boards? I'm not following. 😐
