What about butchering extra roosters for others?

Last year when so many farm stores were selling out of SR chicks I knew people would inevitably want to get rid of roosters, so I put the word out that I’d take all the unwanted males. Most were EE’s or other standard sized dual purpose breeds already crowing and just a few weeks from butchering age, so the feed cost was minimal. I put them on pasture in a chx tractor far from my layers.
People needed to get rid of roosters and I got nearly free meat. Win-win! I pressure canned all of the meat- bone in thighs and legs, breasts shred so easily, gallons of stock, and the livers were dehydrated for dog treats. Waste not- want not.

Idk how I missed this thread.

I think it's a great idea if you figure out the logistics! Pardon me if someone already mentioned this, but the only thing that comes to mind as someone from a city with a rooster ban is that we have to get rid of cockerels/roosters BEFORE they crow so no one reports us. They are usually pretty small still at that point and not eating size . That is why I had to rehome mine to a friend (from BYC actually!) even though I know how to process birds. He was too small to eat. I think people in my situation (rooster ban) would be your main customers, but they would be in the same predicament I was, trying to get rid of the cockerel before he crows.

Just something to think about. Did you end up going forward with this?
