What did you do in the garden today?

Finished the overhang needed on the new shed to keep wind driven rain from getting pass the door. Also needed to AGAIN get under the house to replace a sillcock AGAIN!!!!:barnie
Frost proof sillcocks are a piece of crap anymore. I have the same problem.

That's always been the fly in the ointment for me. You buy cordless tools and are then committed to needing to make a future purchase of the batteries FOR THAT DESIGN just to find out THAT DESIGN is no longer available. Now you’re left with perfectly good yet useless tools. What options are you left with? Only one……new tools. Big advantage of corded is that until the tool itself fails you’ll always have it available….assuming you pay your electric bill.
There are adapters available. Maybe not for all but for some. Might take some searching to find them. Start with YouTube. That is where I saw it. Should list sources. I am up too early. Time change ugh.

I was trying to figure out what a sillcock was, but was afraid to Google it. Was sure I'd end up with all kinds of porn on my tablet! The second time this word came up I looked it up, A hose bib! I learned a new word. Now if spell check can learn that word without converting it to filth, lol. ( my spell check changes it to silky f**k) Guess I better stick with hose bib.

This is on top of them redesigning the metal meat grinder, which also runs the sausage stuffer and the puree attachment. The old style of those do not fit the new grinder, so you have to buy the new bits to fit the new bit.
Been there, done that. Have both the old and new grinders just so I could get the sausage tubes and I needed the newer grinder so that I could get the only available sausage tubes to fit it, could not find the tubes for the older grinder. Still I’m a Kitcheaid—ite.

Did you check eBay? Also there are a small number of online stores that specialize in replacement parts. For instance, I have some old Revereware cooking vessels and needed a new handle for one - easy peasie. As popular as the KitchenAid stand mixer has been for so many years, I'd be very surprised if there's not at least a few places offering parts that fit.
