It really can be magic spray. Don't even need to remove the air filter, just "spray it".

Mowed leaves this morning and dumped them in the garden. Saw a post on Nextdoor app of a chicken running around a neighborhood for the last week. The lady has been feeding her peanuts and sunflower seeds. There were two foxes trying to catch her last two nights. I messaged her and said I could come try and catch her. Spent the afternoon and finally got her. She flys like crazy, so knew she must be young. Got her home and she is in quarantine in my garage. Looked her over really well and she seems very healthy. She is young and I don't believe has started to lay. Not sure what I'm doing with her yet. After quarantine I could try and integrate her into my flock. Trimmed her wings tonight and held her for a bit, she seems pretty nice. Crested Cream Legbar or cross of one I believe . View attachment 4245040

I love chickens with mohawks, muffs or beards.

Looks like a cream legbar to me but I have my brightness turned way down. Looks like maybe 22-25 weeks old ish.

I planted more lettuce. Super Red romaine. The arugula is coming up now. Pretty excited to have a jump on the winter garden. I'll get my hoops up soon. Still no threat of frost in the forecast. Usually we get a good hard frost by now.

This was *two years ago on the morning of the 3rd of November.

what is yours maternity ward set up? I need to make 2 of them as soon as possible. looking for ideas. as I have a lot of rats around it must be rat proof.

just a old metal nest box and cage wire is 1/2 inch mesh hardware.

I just didn't want her being a foxes dinner. Trying to integrate a single pullet in cold weather doesn't sound easy. I guess time will tell. And always need more exercise!

My 49th birthday is today!
I've been waiting for weeks to pull out the Cinnabon Cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory from my freezer. Took half of it out and wrapped and froze the rest. My oldest son gave me an awesome card, I make cheese and he nailed it.
