What did you do in the garden today?

Those with a Meijer. Limit one turkey for .49 a lb until 11/27
My heritage cost $7 a lb in feed 😂

Got 17 huge lemons off my potted lemon tree, I see a lot of lemon meringue pie in my future. I cut several tips off my basil plant before digging it out earlier. Put the tips in water and most of them have rooted. Potted up 3 of the strongest in starter cups, and will choose 1 to keep through winter for spring planting. Already have the shelves and grow lights going in a spare room with my winter salad makings (so far, so good on that tomato I potted up!). Now gotta go harvest the rest of the white calendula for making my moisturizer. 20* tonight, so no time to grow more.

I would not eat that turkey. there is a reason why it is so cheap.
It's a mass production bbw. They sell them cheap this time of year to get us in the store. Called a "loss leader " they are losing money from this bird because our "Thanksgiving" holiday is the end of the month. Turkey is a traditional food served. They hope we will buy the rest of the food there also.

Sometimes there is also the requirement that you have to buy a certain dollar amount of groceries to get the cheap price. Sometimes it's $50, sometimes $100. Not hard to do anymore!

My lemon tree when I brought it inside for the winter... It's got dozens of lemons on it that look like they will all get ripe about Thanksgiving...
