What did you do in the garden today?

It started to get cold at nights in the tropics. This is when my tomato/pepper season starts which is opposite from the mainland. This season, I will only grow 2 Hossinator tomato plants. I still have tomato sauce left over from last season.

My goal this season is to figure out how to grow large pepper plants in containers. I will use the original earth box kit I got last year with inert potting mix and follow the fertilizer instructions.

I have a lot of winter melon in my storage and have been eating a one-inch slice of it daily with my Costco Demon Hunter instant saimin and pork charsiu. It's spicy hot, but I think it taste perfect diluted with 3 cups of water. I really like this brand.

One of my hens, Merlin, had started laying again. Finally seeing the light at the end of the molt.

It rained here yesterday. Today it was a true fall day. Got some photos. Planted more lettuce and kale today. Going to rain until Tuesday then starts up again on Thursday.

Garden cleanup is done. I could pull some weeds, or not; I could spread some leaves as mulch.

I think I'll rake the side yard today, as it's going to be nice and warm, but maybe not, since it's going to be windy. But it's going to be a west wind, which is the easiest direction to work with.

So I might go work in the garden, or the side yard. Or not.

I've caught 34 mice in the chicken run over 4 nights. Taking a break tonight.

Been there, done that. I feel for you.

Hoping for a low mice summer - we had a really bad one last year - catching 5/20 a night in the drop trap in the avairies.
Please tell me your methods for such success. I see a drop trap mentioned, one of the bucket tip lids?

I was so tired when I posted last night that I couldn't finish my post. Was falling asleep while trying. I had to give up and just submit without explaining the photos. Lol
