1765# of olives, 31.29 gallons of oil!

Samples go to the lab this morning.

As noted: Delicious, buttery and smooth.

We picked very late this year so there was much more ripe olives than usual.

Today I need to work on cat proofing my beds until the plants are bigger. The tomato cages are working but the cat wanted to crap in my garden so badly that it did so between my garlic plants.

Yeah, I've seen that. I'm not putting plastic in the garden though.

I use wire fence, I just have not gotten it untangled from the clover patch yet.

There's always the option of going to the local Goodwill store or searching yard sales and findng you a deal on cheap pressed metal ones.

I'm having a meatless Monday. Butternut squash for lunch, stir fried bok choi with onions mixed with rice for supper. Might have some almonds for a snack later.

I baked a whole duck in a Dutch oven and feel guilty about eating the skin.
